Škoda Auto India collaborates with Artist Harun Robert for Kylaq SUV camouflage design

Škoda Auto India has announced a collaboration with renowned artist Harun Robert, also known as Rob, for the camouflage design of its upcoming Kylaq SUV. This marks the first time Škoda has partnered with an artist for such a project.

The Kylaq, which was named through a national campaign, will undergo further testing on Indian roads while wearing the custom-designed camouflage created by Rob and fans of Škoda.

Petr Janeba, Brand Director of Škoda Auto India, commented on the collaboration, stating that the Kylaq aims to bring European technology to Indian roads.

Harun Robert, known for his work as the creator and host of a popular TV show focused on DIY projects, has built a strong following on social media. His collaboration with Škoda will involve an interactive session with fans, where they will contribute to the design of the camouflage. The final design will represent the diversity of the people of India.

Škoda’s "Fans of Škoda" initiative, which began in 2022, has grown to include over 700 members who participate in various company events, including providing feedback on new products. Fans played a role in naming the Kylaq and will now contribute to its camouflage design during a two-day workshop with Rob. Their ideas and aspirations for the SUV will be integrated into the final design.

The Kylaq is Škoda Auto India’s first entry into the compact SUV market and is built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, similar to the Kushaq SUV and Slavia sedan. The SUV will feature high ground clearance and space around the wheel to handle uneven road surfaces, aligning with its SUV character. Škoda is preparing for the production of the Kylaq, which is set for release in 2025. It will be the company's third all-new product developed for India, following the Kushaq in 2021 and the Slavia in 2022.
