The new model, priced at INR 1,44,800 (Ex-showroom, Delhi), represents a significant advancement in the Indian two-wheeler market.
The FZ-S Fi Hybrid combines Yamaha's renowned 149cc Blue Core engine with innovative hybrid technology, featuring the Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Stop & Start System (SSS). These systems work together to provide quieter engine starts, battery-assisted acceleration during initial throttle input, and improved fuel efficiency through automatic engine shutdown when idling.
The motorcycle boasts a sophisticated design with sharper tank cover edges and integrated front turn signals that enhance its aerodynamic profile. Tech-savvy riders will appreciate the new 4.2-inch full-color TFT instrument display that connects to smartphones via the Y-Connect app, offering turn-by-turn navigation linked to Google Maps.
Yamaha has also prioritized rider comfort with an optimized handlebar position and repositioned switches for better accessibility, even when wearing gloves. Practical features include an airplane-style fuel cap that remains attached during refueling.
Available in Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey, the 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid arrives as manufacturers increasingly focus on alternative propulsion technologies in the traditionally conservative motorcycle market.
