Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited (WIML) announced today that its January sales reached 3,830 electric two-wheelers, marking an 18.76% increase from the same period last year. The company's performance indicates continued momentum in India's electric vehicle sector.
The sales figures, which encompass both high-speed and low-speed models under the company's 'Joy e-bike' brand, show improvement from the 3,225 units sold in January 2024. Additionally, the company reported sales of 22 units from its 'Joy e-rik' electric three-wheeler line, which serves both passenger and commercial segments.
"The January results demonstrate ongoing consumer adoption of electric vehicles," said Yatin Gupte, Chairman & Managing Director of Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited. "Government policies supporting EV infrastructure continue to contribute to sector growth."
In a significant development for its technology capabilities, Wardwizard has also announced a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with C4V, a New York-based specialist in lithium-ion battery technology. The Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies focuses on advancing battery cell design and optimization, potentially enhancing the performance of Wardwizard's electric vehicle lineup.
The company's January performance and strategic technology MoU suggest Wardwizard is positioning itself for continued growth in India's expanding electric vehicle sector, where government incentives and growing environmental awareness are driving consumer interest in electric transportation options.
