Wardwizard posts 19% (YoY) growth in its June electric two-wheeler sales
The EV manufacturer, originally intending to secure Rs 1,300 crore for its lithium-ion cell manufacturing facility and venture into the electric three-wheeler market.
Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility, the Joy E-Bike's manufacturer, claims a 19% year-on-year increase, selling 2,529 units of low-speed and high-speed electric two-wheelers in June'23, up from 2,125 units in June'22.
The EV maker, which had previously planned to raise Rs 1,300 crore for its lithium-ion cell manufacturing plant and enter the electric three-wheeler market, recently operationalised its 1 GW assembly line in Vadodara for local manufacturing of its battery packs.
Sharing the Sales prospects, Yatin Gupte, Chairman and Managing Director of Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility, stated that the company is strategically establishing new distributor dealerships across multiple tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India during the second quarter.
"With resolute confidence, we envision sustained momentum that will firmly establish our leadership in the electric mobility sector,” Gupte said in a press statement.
The total growth for two-wheelers is 475 percent when compared to May 2023, as it sold 532 units of electric two-wheelers in the previous month.
