Volkswagen to Introduce the All-New Tiguan R-Line with Focus on In-Cabin Technology and Driver Convenience
Volkswagen introduces the updated Tiguan R-Line in India, featuring a customizable digital cockpit, larger infotainment system, and voice control features designed to enhance driving convenience and in-cabin user experience.
Volkswagen is preparing to introduce the all-new Tiguan R-Line in India, a global SUV that places emphasis on interior technology, connectivity features, and a refined in-cabin experience. The upcoming model will expand the brand's premium SUV portfolio, targeting customers looking for a balance of design, functionality, and digital innovation.
The Tiguan R-Line will feature a 26.04 cm customizable digital cockpit designed to provide the driver with various information profiles. This setup allows users to access key driving data in a streamlined format. The cabin integrates elements from the fourth-generation Modular Infotainment Toolkit (MIB4), which contributes to a user-friendly and connected interface.
At the center of the dashboard, the Tiguan R-Line is expected to house a 38.1 cm infotainment system. It will come with a new menu structure and graphics intended to improve usability. The vehicle will also feature a redesigned head-up display and a multifunction driving experience switch equipped with an integrated TFT LCD display. These additions are aimed at enhancing convenience and reducing distractions while driving. An eight-speaker system will support in-car entertainment.
The SUV will also support Wireless App-Connect for both Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, along with options for wired connectivity and wireless charging. Navigation information will be integrated across the infotainment system, digital cockpit, and head-up display to allow drivers to remain focused on the road. Additionally, the Tiguan R-Line will be equipped with the IDA voice assistant and voice enhancer, enabling voice-based operation of several infotainment functions using natural language.
While the official reveal is still awaited, the Tiguan R-Line is positioned to offer a blend of modern design and feature-driven practicality for Indian consumers.
