Tata Motors and Skoda call off proposed partnership talks

Following a joint technical feasibility and commercial evaluation of a potential collaboration, the two automakers conclude that envisioned areas of partnership may not yield the desired synergies as originally assessed.

Tata Motors has just announced that its proposed alliance with Skoda of the Volkswagen Group has been called off. A release from Tata Motors today stated that after a joint technical feasibility study and commercial evaluation, both sides agreed that the planned partnership areas may not lead to desired results.
