Tata Motors’ sales in October remain stable
Passenger vehicle sales stood at 48,423 units in October, nearly flat compared to October 2023.
Tata Motors Ltd reported total sales of 82,682 units across domestic and international markets, a minor decrease from 82,954 units in October 2023.
The company recorded 34,259 commercial vehicle sales in October, matching last year’s sales volume. Domestic sales of commercial vehicles totaled 32,708 units, marking a 1% increase year-over-year. The heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) segment saw a slight drop of 2%, selling 10,024 units compared to 10,204 last year. Intermediate and light commercial vehicles recorded a 9% rise with 5,836 units sold. Small commercial vehicle sales, including pickups, dropped by 3%.
International commercial vehicle sales were 1,551 units, down 15% from last year’s 1,829 units. Total medium and heavy commercial vehicle (MH&ICV) sales, including domestic and international markets, reached 16,274 units, a marginal rise from 16,048 units in October 2023.
Passenger vehicle sales stood at 48,423 units in October 2024, nearly flat compared to October 2023. Domestic passenger vehicle sales, including electric vehicles (EVs), totaled 48,131 units. International sales of passenger vehicles fell slightly to 292 units from 300 units last year. EV sales, encompassing both domestic and international markets, registered 5,355 units, reflecting a 2% decline.
