TÜV SÜD South Asia, which is a fully-owned subsidiary of the Germany-headquartered multinational testing, inspection, and certification agency, today launched its e-Mobility mobile training lab at its Bengaluru campus.
The company aims to offer a range of training programmes, spread across three levels - Basic, Intermediary, and Advanced courses - to benefit participants by enhancing their expertise in high-voltage safety, and ensuring proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). The training will provide a thorough understanding of the integration of components within EVs, and through the theoretical and practical sessions, equip participants with the necessary knowledge to assess and implement risk mitigation strategies.
The fully-equipped mobile training lab, capable of imparting hands-on, practical training to EV industry stakeholders, including R&D engineers, associates on the shopfloor, as well as technicians working at dealerships to service vehicles, will focus on delivering global best practices.
The e-Mobility mobile training lab will support organisations lacking EV infrastructure as well as individuals seeking to advance their e-Mobility knowledge in an evolving automotive landscape. It will offer on-demand, on-site Live demos, hands-on learning with real EV components, compliance and certification assurance, and customisable and modular training for different audiences.

State-Of-The-Art Equipment
The mobile training lab, which has been set up in a light commercial vehicle, replicates the typical electric passenger vehicle layout by having distinct constituents, including the battery pack, motor, MCU, on-board charger, DC-DC converter, and power distribution unit.
It also boasts advanced diagnostic tools, high-voltage testing capabilities, and simulation tools for troubleshooting as well as AR and VR tools for imparting training in a technology-first way. The lab is fully compliant with the most stringent DGUV 209-093 European standard that provides a comprehensive framework for training personnel working on vehicles equipped with high-voltage systems.

This state-of-the-art facility on wheels empowers OEMs, component manufacturers, automotive professionals, and students with hands-on training in EV technology and industry best practices.”
