Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, has announced a partnership with e-commerce platform Flipkart to enable online booking of its two-wheelers. Starting 15 April 2025, customers in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Meghalaya, and Mizoram will have the option to book vehicles digitally.
Under the new arrangement, customers can browse models such as the Avenis scooter and motorcycles from the GIXXER and V-Strom SX series, including variations like the GIXXER SF, GIXXER 250, GIXXER SF 250, and V-Strom SX. This move aligns with SMIPL’s efforts to broaden its digital offerings and cater to consumers who prefer initiating their purchase process online.
Deepak Mutreja, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at SMIPL, stated that the collaboration with Flipkart is intended to provide an additional channel for customers to explore and book Suzuki vehicles conveniently. Sujith S Agashe, Senior Director, Electronics at Flipkart, added that the partnership reflects Flipkart’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the customer experience by expanding its digital service portfolio.
The online booking process is designed to be straightforward. Interested customers can select their preferred Suzuki two-wheeler model on Flipkart, place an order, and then complete the necessary documentation at their nearest authorised dealership. Once registration is finalized, the customer may take delivery of the vehicle.
Suzuki Motorcycle India, which began operations in India in February 2006 from its Kherki Daula plant in Gurugram, Haryana, manufactures a range of two-wheelers including 125cc scooters, motorcycles above 150cc, and larger-engined models. The facility currently boasts an annual production capacity of 1.3 million units.
Flipkart, established in 2007, is among India’s leading digital commerce platforms. It operates a diverse portfolio of businesses that collectively offer over 150 million products across more than 80 categories, serving a large network of sellers and customers nationwide. The partnership with SMIPL is another step towards integrating traditional automotive segments with modern digital retail solutions.
