Steelbird Helmets has launched its latest product, the SBH-64 ZIP RF, a half-face helmet that focuses on utility, comfort, and safety for urban commuters.
The SBH-64 ZIP RF comes equipped with a rear aerodynamic spoiler, giving the helmet a streamlined appearance. Although classified as a half-face model, it features an extended polycarbonate visor intended to provide broader facial coverage while maintaining airflow, which could benefit daily city riders.
To improve rider comfort, the helmet includes a neck pad and interiors made from multipored, breathable, and washable materials sourced from Italy. It also incorporates a quick-release buckle system for easier handling during routine commutes and a rear reflector to help enhance rider visibility in low-light conditions.
Speaking on the launch, Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director of Steelbird Helmets, said the company remains focused on improving rider safety while addressing design and comfort aspects in its offerings.
Certified under BIS (IS 4151:2015) standards, the SBH-64 ZIP RF is built with a high-impact ABS shell and a multi-layer EPS core to aid in impact absorption. The helmet is available in more than ten color options and comes in sizes M (580mm), L (600mm), and XL (620mm).
Priced from ₹999, the new helmet is positioned as an affordable option for riders looking for essential protection with user-friendly features.
