Steelbird Hi-Tech India Ltd., the world’s largest helmet manufacturer, has introduced its latest product, the SBH-35 ROBOT 2.0 helmet. Priced starting at ₹1799, the new helmet aims to provide motorcycle riders with a blend of advanced safety, comfort, and sleek design, making it an appealing choice for both daily commuters and motorcycle enthusiasts.
A key feature of the SBH-35 ROBOT 2.0 is its double homologation, meeting both DOT (FMVSS No. 218) and BIS (IS 4151:2015) safety standards, which ensures comprehensive protection on both Indian and international roads. The helmet’s high-impact ABS material shell enhances its durability, designed to withstand significant impacts, providing riders with added peace of mind.
In addition to safety, the SBH-35 ROBOT 2.0 focuses heavily on rider comfort. The helmet is equipped with multi-layer EPS (thermocol) with both high and low-density layers, incorporating air channels for improved ventilation. This feature makes it ideal for long-distance riders, as it ensures a cooler and more comfortable experience without compromising safety. The ventilation system is designed to optimise air circulation for enhanced comfort during rides.
The helmet’s interior is crafted with rider comfort in mind, featuring a hygienic, Italian-designed, washable lining made from breathable multipore materials. The helmet also comes with a polycarbonate anti-scratch visor, providing clear visibility and added durability with its scratch-resistant coating, ensuring longevity despite daily wear.
For added practicality, the SBH-35 ROBOT 2.0 includes a quick-release visor mechanism and a visor locking system, allowing riders to change or secure their visors with ease. Additional features such as a nose protector and wind deflector enhance the rider’s comfort and protection, particularly during high-speed rides.

Commenting on the launch, Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director of Steelbird Helmets, highlighted the importance of safety, referencing the World Health Organization’s 2023 Global Status Report on Road Safety. “High-quality helmets can reduce the risk of death by over six times and mitigate the risk of brain injury by up to 74%,” he noted.
