Skoda Superb relaunched at Rs 54 lakh
At Rs 54 lakh, the fully imported Superb is now priced Rs 16.71 lakh higher over the previous top-spec Superb that was discontinued back in April last year.
Skoda has re-launched the current-gen Superb in India. At Rs 54 lakh (ex-showroom), the Superb makes a return in India after a gap of almost a year. Limited to just 100 units in India, the re-introduced Skoda Superb is the second-gen car and not the all-new third-gen model that saw its global debut last November.
2024 Skoda Superb: what’s new?
As reported by us before, the 2024 Skoda Superb for India is a full import and not the made-in-India model. At Rs 54 lakh, the fully imported Superb is now priced Rs 16.71 lakh higher over the previous top-spec Superb that was discontinued back in April last year. The 2024 Skoda Superb’s direct rival, the Camry sedan from Toyota starts at Rs 46.17 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with a petrol-hybrid powertrain.
The 2024 Skoda Superb now comes with a single fully loaded variant in India. While the Skoda Superb L&K was available previously, the 2024 Superb L&K gets additional features over its predecessor. Notable add-ons include ADAS features like lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control that can be operated at speeds of up to 210kph. It also gets park assist with a 360-degree camera. Additionally, Skoda's dynamic chassis control tech is standard, along with the active tyre pressure monitoring system and nine airbags.
Customers can order their new 2024 Skoda Superb in three exterior paint shade options only – Rosso Brunello (New), Water World Green (New) and Magic Black with 18-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, the 2024 Superb in India gets a 9-inch Columbus Infotainment system, which wasn't available earlier.
2024 Skoda Superb: powertrain
The Skoda Superb comes with a BS6 Phase II-compliant 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol power plant, producing 190hp and 320Nm - the same state of tune as before, mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
Skoda India: what else is in store?
While the Superb will be the brand’s “new” product at the higher end of the market, Skoda will also introduce an all-new compact SUV that will take on the likes of the Brezza, Venue and Sonet.
