Shriram Pistons, Wheels India, Uno Minda among winners at ACMA Excellence Awards 2025

Around 60 autocomponent manufacturers received 109 awards across 10 categories at the 59th ACMA Excellence Awards, held every year to recognize innovation and excellence in India's auto component manufacturing sector.
The ceremony, held in New Delhi on March 5, 2025, highlighted industry achievements under the theme "Viksit Bharat: Innovating for an Inclusive, Sustainable & Resilient Manufacturing Future."
Shriram Pistons And Rings Ltd emerged as a dominant force at this year's awards, securing multiple top honors including Platinum awards in Excellence in Manufacturing, Excellence in New Product Design and Development (NPDD) and Localization, and Excellence in Export.
The company also received a Gold award in Safety and Excellence in Environment, Social & Governance (ESG), demonstrating its comprehensive leadership across key industry benchmarks.
In the medium turnover category, ADM Joinflex India Pvt Ltd - Tube Division made an impressive showing, collecting Gold awards in multiple areas including Tier 2 Supplier Development, Safety, Digitalization, and a Platinum award in New Product Design and Development (NPDD) and Localization.
Wheels India Ltd maintained a strong presence with Gold awards in three important categories: Manufacturing, Digitalization, and Environment, Social & Governance (ESG).
Uno Minda Ltd - Seating Division secured a Platinum award in New Product Design and Development (NPDD) and Localization, along with a Gold in Export and a Bronze in Safety.
Metalman Micro Turners and its Unit II showed consistent performance, collectively earning multiple Silver medals across categories including Tier 2 Supplier Development, Safety, Manufacturing, and a Gold in Environment, Social & Governance (ESG).
Marelli Talbros Chassis Systems Pvt Ltd excelled in the Large turnover segment with Platinum awards in both New Product Design and Development (NPDD) and Localization, as well as Export.
The event also featured the 10th ACMA Mobility Foundation (AMF) Technology Summit and saw the release of a strategic report titled "Revving Up Exports: The Next Phase of Export Growth for the Auto Component Industry" in collaboration with Boston Consulting Group.
Shradha Suri Marwah, President of ACMA, highlighted the industry's impressive financial performance, noting, "In FY2024, the industry achieved a USD 74.1 billion turnover with USD 21.2 billion in exports." She also emphasized ACMA's commitment to inclusivity, mentioning that application fees were waived for small enterprises, companies with over 15% women employees, and those employing at least 5% differently abled individuals.
The auto component sector recently emerged as a major forex earner for the country, and generated USD 300 million trade surplus. The government is banking on the sector to drive further export earnings.
