The tenth edition of the eBAJA SAEINDIA, which was held at the BV Raju Institute of Technology, Narsapur, near Hyderabad, came to a conclusion in the evening hours of February 23.
The event which marked a decade-long journey of the prestigious student competition that focuses on implementing classroom knowledge into hands-on, practical training, witnessed its largest participation ever.
The eBAJA 2025, which began last year with over 85 student teams from various engineering colleges across the country, saw 77 teams present at the BVRIT campus. While 51 teams cleared the technical inspection, a total of 44 teams qualified to participate in the final race day held on Sunday.
Team Predators Racing representing Pune's DY Patil College of Engineering emerged as the overall winner of the event clinching the top spot, followed by Piranha Racing of Dr Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune, which emerged as the second team on the podium. Team Red Baron, representing the Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune, took the final podium position.
The four-hour endurance race was flagged off by Balraj Subramaniam, Chairman, Organising Committee; Dr KC Vora, Advisor, BAJA SAEINDIA; Ramanathan S, Managing Director, ATS, and Dr Arun Jaura, among others. The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Balakista Reddy, Chairman, Telangana Council of Higher Education; Sukhmal Jain, Director, Marketing, BPCL, and KV Vishnu Raju, Chairman, Sri Vishnu Educational Society.
Faculty advisors from 77 teams also participated in the 'Dronacharya' evaluation event, where they were subjected to group discussion and personal interviews by senior judges. Professor Bhimagoud Patil of MIT Academy of Engineering, Pune, emerged as the winner.
