CEAT Limited has announced that Pravinsingh Pratapsingh Pardeshi has resigned from his role as Non-Executive Independent Director of the company. His resignation is effective from the close of business hours on April 10, 2025.
The company stated that Pardeshi stepped down due to other pre-occupations. Along with this, he ceased to be a member of the Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and the Stakeholders Relationship Committee of the Board. In his resignation letter addressed to the Board, Pardeshi expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve on the CEAT Board and noted there were no other material reasons for his departure.
Praveen Pardeshi is a retired IAS officer from the 1985 Maharashtra Cadre with over 34 years of experience in public administration. He has held senior roles in the Government of Maharashtra, including Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai, Principal Secretary of the Revenue and Forest Department, and Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister.
He currently serves as Member (Administration) at the Capacity Building Commission, Government of India, and as CEO of the Maharashtra Institution for Transformation (MITRA), a state-level think tank.
Pardeshi has also worked with the United Nations in various capacities, including as Chief of the Transition Recovery Unit at UNDP Geneva and in leadership roles at UNISDR and UNITAR.
