Omega Seiki Mobility Partners with Naari Shakti to Deploy 2,500 Pink Auto Rickshaws for Women Drivers
Electric three-wheelers to be distributed under CSR initiative, aimed at enhancing women’s mobility, employment opportunities, and financial independence across key urban and semi-urban locations in India.
Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), a company focused on sustainable transportation solutions, has partnered with Naari Shakti Women Welfare Charitable Trust to provide 2,500 electric Pink Auto Rickshaws to women drivers across India. The initiative is part of OSM’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and is intended to support women’s participation in the mobility sector.
The electric three-wheelers are priced at ₹2,59,999 (on-road, Delhi) and are being offered with a 1% interest rate. According to OSM, these vehicles are expected to have one-fourth the running cost of traditional CNG auto-rickshaws. The Pink Autos are designed with safety and convenience features and will be used to enhance last-mile connectivity while providing income opportunities to women.
The initiative is aimed at promoting financial independence for women, especially in urban and semi-urban areas. It also aligns with national programmes such as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and echoes the themes of gender inclusion highlighted during India’s G20 Presidency.
OSM has stated that it will provide 24x7 service support for the deployed vehicles. An AI-powered chatbot will assist users with service scheduling, maintenance queries, and real-time updates. In addition, GPS and emergency alert systems will be included in the vehicles for added safety.
The first phase of deployment will begin in Delhi NCR, with further expansion planned for Bangalore, North Karnataka, and Chennai. Selected women drivers will also receive training and financial literacy support to help ensure long-term operational sustainability.
Omega Seiki Mobility is an electric vehicle manufacturer engaged in the development of mobility solutions that prioritize energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact. The company focuses on integrating clean technology with broader goals of inclusive development within the electric mobility sector in India.
Naari Shakti Women Welfare Charitable Trust is a non-profit organisation that works towards the empowerment and welfare of women across India. Its areas of focus include access to livelihood opportunities, education, healthcare, and social support.
