NSRCEL, the startup hub at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), in partnership with Maruti Suzuki India Limited, has launched the 4th cohort of its Incubation Program for Mobility Startups. The program focuses on supporting startups developing technology-based solutions for the automobile and mobility sectors.
This six-month program is designed for early-stage startups in the proof-of-concept and revenue stages, aiming to help them develop their ideas into sustainable businesses. Selected startups will have the chance to receive incubation support from NSRCEL and engage in a paid proof of concept (POC) with Maruti Suzuki, allowing them to test their solutions in a practical setting. Additionally, startups will have the opportunity to explore the Japanese market for potential partnerships and expansion.
The Incubation Program focuses on technology innovations in areas like green manufacturing, mobility infrastructure, vehicle technology, data & AI, clean tech, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0. According to Anand Sri Ganesh, CEO of NSRCEL, this fourth cohort aims to continue building on the progress of the previous ones in fostering innovation within the mobility sector.
The program offers tailored support to meet the needs of each startup. Participants will receive guidance on regulatory aspects, engage in workshops, and access opportunities for business development. Additionally, startups will gain access to expertise from Maruti Suzuki, resources from IIMB, and connections with investors in the mobility field.
