Neuron Energy Launches Advanced 5-Acre Lithium-Ion Battery Facility at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025
Investment Reinforces India's Clean Energy Transition with Focus on EV Batteries
Neuron Energy, a leading electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturer, inaugurated a new 5-acre manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The state-of-the-art facility is designed to produce 1.5 GWh of lithium-ion batteries annually and reflects the company’s commitment to advancing clean energy solutions in India.
The ₹25 crore facility is strategically positioned to meet the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions in the EV and energy storage sectors. Its production capacity will cater to applications such as two-wheelers, three-wheelers, golf carts, drones, battery energy storage systems, and telecom solutions. The facility also includes a 6,500 sq. ft. Experience Centre to showcase Neuron Energy’s technologies and a 5,000 sq. ft. Research and Development Centre focused on innovation in energy storage.
Neuron Energy's participation at the expo marks its second appearance, showcasing its contributions to India's EV battery sector and its alignment with the Make in India initiative. The Bharat Mobility Global Expo serves as a key platform for stakeholders in the mobility and automotive sectors to exchange ideas and highlight advancements in sustainable transportation.
Speaking about the development, Neuron Energy CEO Pratik Kamdar highlighted the facility’s role in addressing the increasing need for reliable, scalable, and sustainable battery solutions. He noted the initiative’s alignment with India’s electrification goals and the broader shift toward clean energy systems.
India’s EV market has been expanding rapidly in response to government policies and initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions. Battery manufacturing plays a crucial role in supporting this transition, with companies like Neuron Energy contributing to local manufacturing capabilities and reducing reliance on imports.
The new Chakan facility underscores Neuron Energy’s dedication to innovation and sustainable growth, reinforcing its leadership in the EV battery industry and supporting India’s clean energy future.
