Mercedes-Benz introduced the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series in India, at an ex-showroom price of ₹4.2 crore (all-India). Customer consultations begin immediately, with deliveries expected to start in Q1 2026, the company said.
The open-top two-seater combines the SL silhouette with Mercedes-Maybach design elements. The vehicle is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine that delivers 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque at 2,500-5,000 rpm. It achieves a top speed of 260 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The model features a fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system and 9G automatic transmission, the company said in a press release.
The SL 680 Monogram Series comes in two design concepts: "Red Ambience" with MANUFAKTUR garnet red metallic and "White Ambience" with MANUFAKTUR Opalite white magno. Exterior features include a chrome fin, upright star on the bonnet, Maybach pattern on the hood, illuminated Maybach grille, and rose gold accents in headlights. The vehicle also has an acoustic soft top in light black with Maybach pattern in anthracite, chrome accents on side cladding and windscreen frame, and 21-inch forged wheels.
The interior includes MANUFAKTUR Exclusive Nappa leather upholstery in crystal white with a Maybach-specific floral design. Additional interior elements include galvanized seat backrests, silver chrome trim, a fully digital instrument cluster, and an electrically adjustable center display with Maybach-specific start-up animations. The steering wheel, stainless-steel pedals, and door sill trims also feature Maybach design elements.
For comfort, the vehicle includes a sound-optimized exhaust system, extensive insulation, comfort-oriented suspension, soft engine mounts, and rear-axle steering.
"For more than a century, Maybach has been synonymous with uncompromising luxury and extraordinary craftsmanship," said Daniel Lescow, Head of Mercedes-Maybach at Mercedes-Benz Group AG. "India has become one of the most important markets globally for the brand."
Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, noted that the ultra-luxury segment remains a focus for the company, which has received good response from customers in India.

Mercedes-Benz India will roll out its Maybach Icons of Luxury collection across its MAR 20X luxury facilities from March 2025. The company inaugurated India's first Maybach Lounge in Hyderabad in September 2024, operated by Franchise Partner Silver Star. The first physical Maybach Icons of Luxury store opened in Bangalore in January 2025, with future stores planned for Mumbai and Delhi.
Mercedes-Benz India completed 30 years of operations in 2024. The company's production facility, established in 2009, is located in Chakan near Pune, spanning 100 acres with an investment of over INR 3000 crores. It has the largest installed production capacity for any luxury carmaker in India.
The company has over 100 luxury touchpoints across more than 50 cities in India, including AMG Performance Centres. Its locally produced models include the A-Class, C-Class, E-Class Long Wheelbase, S-Class, and Mercedes Maybach S 580 limousine, along with electric vehicles EQS 580 sedan and EQS SUV 580. The SUV range starts with the GLA, GLC, GLE, and GLS. Imported models include the G 400d, GLS Maybach, and AMG range.
Mercedes-Benz retailed 19,565 new cars in 2024, a 12.4% increase from 17,408 units in 2023, marking its "Best Year Ever" in 30 years in India and leading the luxury car market for the tenth consecutive year.
For 2025, Mercedes-Benz's motto is "DESIRE to Exceed." The company plans to focus on customer experiences, product innovation, network expansion for customer service, community development initiatives, and BEV charging for customer convenience.
