Maruti Suzuki India has launched the all-new Tour S, an entry-level fleet only Sedan. Maruti’s new offering will be available in both Petrol and factory-fitted S-CNG options and will be priced at Rs 6,51,000 for the petrol variant and Rs 7,36,000 for the S CNG variant (ex-showroom).
In its modern avatar, the Tour S will further strengthen the Maruti Suzuki Commercial network with 1.2L K-Series engine, enhanced safety, and convenience features, the company said in a statement. And the company claims it is more fuel efficient and safer than the outgoing model.
Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer (Marketing and Sales), Maruti Suzuki India, said, “The All-new Tour S with modern design, new-age safety features, greater practicality, and Advanced 1.2L K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine is a revolutionary model for the commercial sedan segment. We are confident of exceeding the expectations of our commercial segment customers once again, as we continue to deliver the perfect sedan experience with the All-new Tour S.”
Based on the latest generation Dzire platform, the All-new Tour S comes with a new front fascia while the rear design is equipped with LED tail lamps. The Tour S will deliver a fuel-efficiency rating of 23.15 km/l* for the petrol-fuelled Tour S and the S-CNG version of the Tour S promises a fuel-efficiency figure of 32.12 km/kg*, making it 21 percent more efficient than the outgoing model, claims the company.
The new Tour S is based on the fifth-generation HEARTECT platform and offers safety features are Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA), Speed Limiting System, Reverse Parking Sensors, and Dual Airbags to ensure solid safety.
