Mahindra Logistics, Asian Paints Form Strategic Transportation Partnership
Mahindra Logistics to Provide Transportation Solutions for Asian Paints, Aiming to Improve Supply Chain Operations
Mahindra Logistics Limited has partnered with Asian Paints to provide integrated transportation solutions aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency through its premium Pro-Trucking service, connecting multiple sites across India.
The collaboration, announced in Mumbai on February 10, 2025, will see Mahindra Logistics deploy its network of integrated line haul transportation solutions for Asian Paints' short-distance operations, focusing on improving supply chain visibility and availability.
The partnership leverages Mahindra Logistics' recently launched Pro-Trucking service, which features a dedicated fleet of fuel-efficient vehicles designed for pan-India line haul movements. The service includes advanced features such as BS6 vehicles, Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), 360-degree monitoring, and digital locking systems.
Rampraveen Swaminathan, Managing Director & CEO of Mahindra Logistics Limited, emphasized that the Pro-Trucking offering ensures complete on-demand fleet availability and integration with customers' supply chain networks through their technology platform.
Asian Paints' Senior Vice President of Supply Chain, Harish Lade, noted that this expansion builds upon an existing warehousing partnership between the two companies. The collaboration aims to enhance cost efficiencies while maintaining high service standards.
The partnership represents a significant development in India's logistics sector, where companies are increasingly focusing on technology-driven solutions to optimize supply chain operations. Mahindra Logistics, established in 2007, has grown to become one of India's largest integrated logistics providers. Asian Paints, as India's leading paint manufacturer, has been recognized for its innovative supply chain practices and technological advancement in the sector.
The new service includes features such as route management and end-to-end fleet visibility, integrated with Transportation & Warehouse Management Systems. Additionally, customers can monitor their fleet's carbon footprint in real-time through Mahindra Logistics' Emission Analytics Platform (eDeL-EAR), reflecting growing industry attention to environmental impact measurement.
