Mahindra introduces Scorpio Classic Boss Edition
Scorpio Classic Boss Edition gets dark chrome appliques on the outside.
Mahindra has introduced a special Boss Edition of the Scorpio Classic for the festive season. It is a dealer-level upgrade that's essentially an accessory pack with a few visual changes to the interior and exterior over the standard model. Pricing for this edition is yet to be revealed.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition: what’s new
The chrome embellishments on the outside, including the front grille and fog lamp housing, have been darkened, while the bonnet scoop, rear quarter glass, headlamps and tail-lamps also get a dark chrome applique. The special edition also adds rain visors, a front skid plate, a rear guard with black powder coating and a rear-view camera. The wing mirror caps feature a faux carbon-fibre finish.
On the inside, the Boss Edition adds black seat upholstery as well as a Comfort Kit that brings in cushions and neck pillows.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic powertrain
Powering the Scorpio Classic is a sole 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine producing 132hp and 300Nm of peak torque. The power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Scorpio Classic has no direct rivals in India as of now, but it serves as a rugged 7-seater alternative to midsize SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and others.
