Lohia Auto Rebrands as Zuperia Auto, Introduces Youdha for Electric Three-Wheeler Market
The company will continue offering EVs under the Lohia brand while launching Youdha, a new mass-market electric three-wheeler brand, aimed at expanding its market presence and catering to mobility entrepreneurs, fleet operators, and independent drivers.
Lohia Auto, a long-standing player in India’s electric vehicle (EV) sector, has rebranded as Zuperia Auto Private Limited (ZAPL). The company will continue offering electric vehicles under the “Lohia” brand while launching a new brand, “Youdha,” focused on the mass-market electric three-wheeler segment.
The move marks a strategic shift aimed at expanding ZAPL’s presence in the EV market by catering to a broader customer base, including mobility entrepreneurs, fleet operators, and independent drivers. The company, which has been active in the Indian EV space for over 16 years, operates with an annual production capacity of more than 100,000 vehicles and a network of over 120 dealerships.
Ayush Lohia, Director of Zuperia Auto Pvt Ltd, described the transition as part of the company’s effort to enhance its role in electric mobility. He stated that while the Lohia brand has been focused on innovation and accessibility, the introduction of Youdha aims to reach a wider audience and offer practical EV solutions for professional users.
The Youdha brand draws its name from the Sanskrit word “Yodha,” meaning warrior, signifying resilience and determination—qualities often associated with those relying on electric three-wheelers for their livelihoods. The brand’s logo reflects this theme, incorporating elements inspired by a warrior’s shield and an electric charging socket, while also symbolizing the three-wheeler segment.
The introduction of Youdha comes at a time when India’s EV market is witnessing rapid expansion, driven by government incentives, rising consumer awareness, and the push for sustainable mobility. ZAPL aims to strengthen its presence in the electric three-wheeler segment by focusing on product accessibility and brand engagement, positioning Youdha as a reliable mobility solution for a growing customer base.
