Lexus India recorded a significant 43% year-over-year sales growth in October 2024, driven by strong festive season demand across its luxury vehicle lineup. The luxury automaker has also recorded a 14% growth in year-to-date sales for the calendar year 2024 through October, compared to the same period last year.

Lexus India recorded a significant 43% year-over-year sales growth in October 2024, driven by strong festive season demand across its luxury vehicle lineup. The luxury automaker has also recorded a 14% growth in year-to-date sales for the calendar year 2024 through October, compared to the same period last year.
The Lexus ES, manufactured locally in India, emerged as the standout performer, accounting for 58% of the company's total sales in October 2024. The model's success underscores the Indian market's positive response to locally manufactured luxury vehicles that maintain Lexus's renowned standards of craftsmanship and design.
The company's SUV portfolio demonstrated remarkable growth, posting a 46% increase in October 2024 compared to the same month last year. Models such as the RX and NX have gained particular traction, reflecting evolving consumer preferences in the luxury vehicle segment.

Since its entry into the Indian market in March 2017, Lexus has implemented several customer-centric initiatives. The company recently introduced an industry-first 8-year/160,000 km vehicle warranty on all new models sold from June 1, 2024, alongside a 5-year Roadside Assistance programme launched in February 2024. Additionally, August 2024 saw the introduction of high-quality factory body coating across their vehicle range.
To enhance customer engagement, Lexus is currently hosting golf events and exclusive clinics across major cities including Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. These events align with the brand's Japanese philosophy of Omotenashi, which emphasises exceptional hospitality and guest care.
The luxury automaker, which globally pioneered the luxury crossover category with the RX in 1998, has sold over 2 million hybrid vehicles worldwide since its inception in 1989. In India, Lexus maintains a portfolio of four self-charging hybrid electric vehicles, with the locally produced ES 300h, introduced in 2020, continuing to be their most popular model.
