KTM Launches 390 Enduro R in India at ₹3.36 Lakh

KTM has launched the all-new KTM 390 Enduro R in India, introducing a dedicated enduro-style motorcycle to its domestic lineup. Designed to handle both on-road and off-road conditions, the new model is priced at ₹3,36,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will be available at KTM showrooms nationwide starting today.

The KTM 390 Enduro R blends long-travel suspension with a lightweight chassis and advanced electronics to deliver versatility for city riding and rugged terrains alike. A variant with 230 mm of suspension travel at both ends is also set to launch soon, with bookings already open.

Built with a steel trellis frame and featuring a bolt-on steel sub-frame, the motorcycle emphasizes off-road handling and durability. It includes a newly developed gravity die-cast swingarm and a 43 mm open cartridge front fork with 200 mm of travel, along with a WP APEX monoshock rear suspension offering 205 mm of travel.

The 390 Enduro R runs on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, paired with knobby tires. Braking is managed by ByBre axial brakes—285 mm at the front and 240 mm at the rear.

At its core is KTM’s latest 399cc LC4c single-cylinder engine, also seen on the latest generation of the KTM Duke. With revised cylinder heads and a new gearbox, the engine is BS6-compliant and supports longer service intervals, with routine maintenance every 7,500 km after the first 1,000 km.

The motorcycle’s lightweight stainless-steel exhaust setup features a dual-catalyst system and active ECU control for emissions management. Other refinements include an upgraded slipper clutch, optimized gear shifting, and optional Quickshifter+.

A new 4.2-inch TFT dashboard offers a simplified interface, supported by updated switchgear with illuminated buttons and a 4-way joystick. Bluetooth connectivity enables features like turn-by-turn navigation and music control directly from the dashboard. Riders also benefit from a USB-C charging port and standard LED lighting.

Selectable ride modes include an off-road mode that allows rear wheel slip for better control over rough terrain. Riders can also switch off Motorcycle Traction Control for full manual handling when needed.

Speaking at the launch, Manik Nangia, President Pro-Biking, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said, "The KTM 390 Enduro R is designed to inspire a new generation of riders who seek both urban practicality and off-road adventure. It reflects our motorsport DNA and raises the bar in the sub-500cc category."

KTM, which entered the Indian market in 2012, has now expanded its footprint to over 450 retail locations across the country. India is currently the largest global market for KTM, backed by its partnership with Bajaj Auto Ltd., which holds a significant stake in KTM AG.
