KTM Duke 250 majorly upgraded, gets a 5-inch TFT display

KTM has upgraded its popular Duke 250 motorcycle with several new features. The upgraded model now includes an all-new LED headlamp with integrated pilot lamps, providing improved visibility and style. Additionally, it offers two ride modes – Street and Track – allowing riders to adjust the bike's performance based on different riding conditions. A 5-inch color TFT display has also been introduced, featuring navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.

Priced at Rs. 2,45,115 (Ex-showroom, Delhi), the KTM Duke 250 continues to build on its position as a leading 250cc motorcycle in India.

The new LED headlamp is designed to offer better visibility in low-light conditions, such as navigating through busy traffic or misty weather. The bike’s appearance is further refined with this feature, bringing it visually closer to KTM’s larger models.

The 5-inch color TFT display, derived from the KTM Duuke 390, allows riders to access important information at a glance. This display, with bonded glass, includes a switch cube with 4-way menu navigation, making it easy to control all vehicle functions, including smartphone connectivity. With the KTM My-Ride app, riders can access features like turn-by-turn navigation, music controls, and incoming call notifications.

The two ride modes, Street and Track, are designed to suit different riding scenarios and can be easily toggled via the TFT display. In Track mode, the display shifts to a more race-oriented interface, enlarging the rev counter and lap timer, while reducing the size of the speed readout and focusing on the gear selection and rider aid settings.

The KTM Duke 250 also comes equipped with the Quickshifter+ feature, enabling both upshifts and downshifts without the need for clutch engagement. This results in shorter shift times and smoother riding, while also improving traction and reducing rear-wheel impact during load reversals.

Riders can connect their phones to the bike through the KTM Connect app via Bluetooth, which offers navigation and other useful features. The app provides access to travel data and motorcycle information, improving the overall riding experience. The TFT display also shows incoming call notifications, with the option to accept or decline calls using the handlebar-mounted switch. However, for safety, making outgoing calls while riding is not possible.

Bluetooth headset pairing is available, allowing riders to control their smartphone’s music player via the bike’s controls. Music tracks and volume can be managed using the left handlebar switch, with track information displayed on the TFT screen.

Additionally, the bike includes Supermoto ABS, a feature that allows riders to disengage the ABS function on the rear wheel, catering to specific riding styles like competition or Supermoto riding.

The Duke 250’s TFT display offers customisable themes and shift RPM settings, allowing riders to personalise their riding experience. Display options and shortcuts can also be customised to show relevant information based on individual preferences.

With a 250cc engine producing 31 PS of power and 25 Nm of torque, the KTM Duke 250continues to offer advanced performance and technology, further enhancing the street riding experience.
