Kishor Patil, Co-founder, CEO and MD of KPIT Technologies, delivered a talk at the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of New Champions in Dalian, China. The event, held from June 25-27, 2024, brought together leaders of countries, innovators and leaders from around the globe to discuss and drive positive societal impact through technology and sustainability.
"AI and sustainability were at the top of all attendees' minds, showcasing their global commitment to these critical areas. It was a great opportunity to learn and contribute, forge partnerships and drive large-scale societal impact. A key highlight of the event was a special dialogue with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, in which he emphasised the growth of the economy, sustainability, and the development of new energy vehicles,” said Kishor Patil.
He spoke on Asia's Autonomous Cityscape highlighting the region's diverse infrastructure and demographic landscape that necessitate advanced mobility solutions, and how Autonomous mobility can address urban challenges like traffic congestion and air pollution. Touching upon the aspects of Artificial Intelligence, he noted how Technological advances in AI, high-performance computing, and 5G are crucial for the evolution of autonomous and electric vehicles.
"Asia presents the most diverse challenges yet the best promise. As an industry we must collaborate on data, infrastructure, and policy to enable L4/L5 autonomy in public transport and personal mobility by 2030.I am excited about how India and KPIT Technologies can contribute to this," he noted.
