KPIT Technologies has announced the winners of KPIT Sparkle 2025, its annual innovation competition for undergraduate engineering students. The 11th edition of the event saw participation from over 28,000 students from 731 colleges globally, with more than 1,300 ideas submitted across ten themes, including artificial intelligence, sustainability, cybersecurity, and energy storage.
After seven months of evaluation, six teams were selected as finalists for their innovative projects focused on autonomous vehicles, energy storage, emission control, and cybersecurity. The competition aims to provide a platform for students to develop solutions addressing real-world challenges in the mobility and energy sectors.
The Gold Award was won by RYM Genergy from GD Goenka University, Gurgaon, for their project, Ultron, an advanced energy storage solution designed for electric vehicles and power backup systems. The team received a cash prize of ₹7,00,000 for their work, which leverages Uni-polar Programmed Supercapacitors (UPPSC) technology.
Commenting on the event, Ravi Pandit, Chairman of KPIT Technologies, said that KPIT Sparkle has engaged with over 120,000 students in the past 11 years, fostering innovation in the mobility and energy domains. He highlighted that this year’s projects reflect ongoing advancements in these fields, reinforcing the role of young engineers in shaping future technologies.
