JSW MG Motor India records 6,019 Sales in November 2024, achieving 20% YoY growth

The MG Windsor led EV sales for the second month with 3,144 units, while New Energy Vehicles contributed to 70% of the company’s overall sales.

JSW MG Motor India records 6,019 Sales in November 2024, achieving 20% YoY growth

JSW MG Motor India reported sales of 6,019 units in November 2024, reflecting a 20% year-on-year growth compared to the same period in 2023. The company’s electric vehicle (EV) lineup continued to perform well, with the MG Windsor leading the sales charts for the second consecutive month. A total of 3,144 units of the Windsor were sold during November, highlighting its position as a key product in the company’s portfolio.

New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) accounted for 70% of the company’s total sales in November, emphasizing their growing role in JSW MG Motor India’s revenue and market strategy.

Additionally, Bengaluru Airport Taxi partnered with Refex Green Mobility to adopt 75 MG ZS EVs, further expanding the presence of EVs in commercial fleet operations.

To enhance the accessibility of electric vehicles, JSW MG Motor India launched a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program. This initiative eliminates the upfront battery cost, allowing customers to pay for battery usage based on kilometers traveled. The program offers the MG Comet EV at ₹4.99 lakh with a battery rental of ₹2.5 per kilometer, the MG Windsor at ₹9.99 lakh with a battery rental of ₹3.5 per kilometer, and the MG ZS EV at ₹13.99 lakh with a battery rental of ₹4.5 per kilometer.

The company has made significant strides in enhancing its product portfolio and operational footprint in the Indian market. Its focus on electric vehicles (EVs) and sustainable mobility aligns with India’s vision of a greener automotive future.

The MG ZS EV is crafted to provide an elevated driving experience with a focus on comfort and performance. It offers a range of 461 kilometers on a single charge under standard conditions, making it suitable for long-distance travel. The vehicle features i-SMART technology, which integrates over 75 connected features for enhanced convenience and safety. Its spacious interiors accommodate family travel comfortably, while premium design elements contribute to its appeal.  

The MG Comet is designed for urban environments, prioritising practicality and maneuverability. Its compact size and agile design make it ideal for navigating crowded streets and tight parking spaces. Equipped with over 55 connected features and MG’s i-SMART technology, the Comet ensures a connected and efficient driving experience. Its small turning radius further enhances usability in dense cityscapes.  

The MG Windsor stands out as a crossover utility vehicle (CUV), blending sedan-like comfort with the spaciousness of an SUV. Its aerodynamic design emphasises performance and efficiency, while its luxurious interiors focus on passenger comfort. The Windsor has a range of 332 kilometers under standard conditions and is equipped with advanced connectivity features for a seamless driving experience.
