Hyundai Motor India unveils IONIQ 5, online bookings to start at Rs 1 lakh

Bookings for the BEV will be available from December 21 from the company website for a booking price Rs 1,00,000.

Hyundai Motor India unveils IONIQ 5, online bookings to start at Rs 1 lakh

Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) has unveiled the all-new Hyundai IONIQ 5, its much-awaited BEV SUV. Hyundai Motor Group’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) will be used for the first time by the IONIQ 5, an innovative system specifically designed for next-generation battery electric vehicles. 

Unsoo Kim, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India, commenting on the launch said, “Hyundai IONIQ 5 is a grand statement of conscious consumerism. As committed, we will introduce this world-class BEV SUV to induce customer delight and usher in the future transformation of India’s automotive landscape. With its intelligent technology and innovation, this BEV will bring us closer to a sustainable future."

IONIQ 5, a product developed following E-GMP standards, emphasizes modularity, performance, reliability, and usability. For a sustainable future, the BEV incorporates eco-friendly materials across numerous touchpoints. 

The IONIQ 5 features Hyundai SmartSense (Level 2 ADAS) and an ultra-fast charging capability of 10 % to 80 % in just 18 minutes using a 350kw DC charger. 

Bookings for the BEV will be available from December 21 from the company website for a booking price of Rs1,00,000.
