Hyundai Motor India becomes first automaker to offer Made-in-India AGM battery technology

In durability tests, AGM batteries outperformed conventional CMF (Complete Maintenance Free) batteries by about 150%, with a wider operational temperature and higher life span.

Hyundai Motor India will begin using locally made batteries from Amara Raja Energy & Mobility in its vehicles, beginning in Q4 of FY 2024-2025. This makes it the first auto OEM in India to use localised AGM technology.
