Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has released an updated version of its Shine 100 motorcycle that now complies with OBD2B emission regulations and features enhanced styling elements. The 2025 model is priced at Rs. 68,767 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is currently available at HMSI dealerships nationwide.
The refreshed Shine 100 maintains its 98.98cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, now updated to meet the latest emission standards while delivering 5.43 kW of power at 7500 RPM and 8.04 Nm of torque at 5000 RPM. The motorcycle continues to feature a 4-speed transmission.
HMSI's Managing Director, President & CEO Tsutsumu Otani noted that the Shine 100 has become one of the fastest-growing products in the company's motorcycle lineup since its initial launch in March 2023. The model has gained popularity for its reliability, fuel efficiency, and value proposition in the entry-level segment.
The updated design includes new graphics on the body panels that draw inspiration from the larger Shine 125 model. The motorcycle retains its practical features including blacked-out alloy wheels, aluminum grabrail, and single-piece seat. Safety features include drum brakes with Combined Braking System (CBS) and a suspension setup consisting of telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers.
The 2025 Shine 100 is available in five color options: Black with Red, Black with Blue, Black with Orange, Black with Gray, and Black with Green.
This update comes amid increasing competition in India's commuter motorcycle segment, where manufacturers must regularly update their offerings to meet evolving emission standards while maintaining competitive pricing. The Shine 100 represents Honda's effort to strengthen its presence in the entry-level motorcycle market, which remains a high-volume segment in India's two-wheeler industry.
