Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced the 2025 Shine 125, featuring an updated OBD2B-compliant engine, a refreshed design, and new technology-driven features. Available in two variants, the Drum variant is priced at Rs. 84,493, while the Disc variant costs Rs. 89,245 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Shine 125, one of HMSI’s long-standing models in the commuter segment, has received upgrades aimed at improving convenience and efficiency. The latest version includes a fully digital instrument cluster, an idling stop system, and a USB Type-C charging port. The new digital console provides key riding information such as real-time mileage, range, gear position, service reminders, and an eco-indicator.
The updated model retains its familiar styling with the addition of a new colour scheme. It is available in six colours: Pearl Igneous Black, Geny Gray Metallic, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, Decent Blue Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue. A wider 90mm rear tyre has also been introduced to improve stability and visual appeal.
Powering the Shine 125 is a 123.94cc single-cylinder PGM-Fi engine that delivers 7.93 kW at 7500 RPM and 11 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM. The engine is now compliant with OBD2B regulations, aligning with evolving emission standards. The inclusion of an idling stop system is designed to enhance fuel efficiency.
Commenting on the launch, HMSI Managing Director, President & CEO Tsutsumu Otani stated that the Shine 125 has been a trusted model since its debut in 2006 and continues to evolve with customer needs. HMSI Director of Sales and Marketing Yogesh Mathur added that the latest updates aim to offer better functionality and convenience in the 125cc segment.
