Honda Hosts Third Annual Half Marathon in Support of Road Safety Initiative
Over 6,000 participants joined the Honda Manesar Half Marathon on March 31, helping to raise awareness for Honda's zero traffic collision fatalities vision while competing for prizes including the new Honda QC1.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) successfully concluded the third edition of its Honda Manesar Half Marathon on Monday, drawing more than 6,000 participants to the event focused on promoting road safety awareness.
The marathon, which took place at HMSI's Global Resource Factory in IMT Manesar, Gurugram, featured three categories: a 21.1 km half marathon, a 10 km run, and a 5 km fun run, designed to accommodate runners of all ability levels.
Ms. Seema won the women's half marathon with a time of 1 hour 29 minutes 29 seconds, while Mr. Manoj Singh took first place in the men's category, finishing in 1 hour 12 minutes 35 seconds. In the 10 km race, Mr. Ravi and Ms. Kavita secured victories in their respective categories.
Winners of the half marathon received Honda's new QC1 model, while top finishers in both the half marathon and 10 km categories were awarded HMSI discount coupons. The event also featured a lucky draw for a Honda QC1 open to all age categories.
According to HMSI, the event aligns with Honda's global vision to achieve zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles by 2050. All proceeds from the marathon will be donated to road safety causes.
The company collaborated with government authorities of Haryana, the Industry association of IMT Manesar, and various industries in the area to organize the event.
HMSI has established itself as one of India's leading two-wheeler manufacturers since its entry into the Indian market in 2001. The company has consistently emphasized corporate social responsibility initiatives focusing on road safety, healthcare, environmental sustainability, education, and sports development.
This marathon represents part of Honda's broader strategy to engage communities in road safety awareness while promoting healthy activities among participants.
