Hero MotoCorp's net profit in the third quarter of FY2025 grew by 12% on-year to Rs. 1,203 crore on revenues of Rs. 10,211 crore. The company's board has declared an interim dividend of Rs. 100 per share.
The company's revenue from operations grew by 5% compared to the same quarter last year, marking the third consecutive quarter with revenue exceeding Rs. 10,000 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded to 14.5%, with EBITDA standing at Rs. 1,476 crore, showing an 8% increase over the previous year.
In terms of sales volume, Hero MotoCorp sold 14.64 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters during the quarter, slightly higher than the 14.60 lakh units sold in Q3 FY24. The company reported its highest-ever quarterly retail sales, driven by strong festive season performance.
The company recorded growth in both electric vehicle (EV) and global markets. Its EV brand, VIDA, achieved record monthly retail sales with 11,600 units during the 32-day festive period. The company also gained market share in key segments, particularly in the 100cc segment through Splendor and in the 125cc segment through Xtreme 125R and Super Splendor.
On the product front, Hero MotoCorp unveiled three new motorcycles at EICMA 2024 - the Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R, and Karizma XMR 250. The company also launched the VIDA V2 range of electric scooters targeting the mass market segment.
As part of its sustainability initiatives, the company announced plans to invest Rs. 5.15 crore in a Solar Power Wheeling project for its plants at Dharuhera and Gurugram, partnering with CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
Hero MotoCorp has also strengthened its brand presence through various initiatives, including the expansion of its collaboration with Harley-Davidson and the inauguration of over 50 Hero Premia Stores across the country. The company's sports initiatives saw success, with Hero MotoSports winning the FIM World Rally-Raid Championship 2024, making it the first Indian manufacturer to earn a FIM world title.
Vivek Anand, Chief Financial Officer of Hero MotoCorp, expressed optimism about the company's future growth, citing the recent Union Budget 2025's emphasis on tax relief for the middle class and continued infrastructure investment as potential drivers for auto industry demand.
The company's consolidated revenue and PAT for the quarter stood at Rs. 10,260 crore and Rs. 1,108 crore respectively, reflecting its strong market position and operational efficiency in both domestic and international markets.
