In a significant development for India's electric vehicle sector, Euler Motors has joined forces with Tata Power Renewables through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding fast-charging infrastructure for commercial electric vehicles.
The partnership addresses a critical challenge in the commercial EV sector: accessible charging infrastructure. Under the agreement, Tata Power Renewables will deploy and maintain fast chargers specifically designed for Euler Motors' vehicle range, while Euler Motors will provide rent-free spaces for the charging stations.
"Charging infrastructure is a key ingredient to enable EV adoption, and fast charging is a customer preference as it enables greater on-road time for vehicles, resulting in lower TCO and higher ROI," said Saurav Kumar, Founder & CEO of Euler Motors. "This partnership with Tata Power is a step forward in enabling customer confidence in EV adoption and Euler Products that are uniquely designed with Fast charging option."
The collaboration introduces a smart card system for Euler Motors' customers, providing them access to Tata Power Renewables' charging network along their regular routes. A notable feature of this partnership is the focus on Euler Motors' HiLoadEV, a three-wheeler commercial vehicle capable of completing a full charge in 30 minutes.
The MoU was formalized in the presence of Virendra Goyal, Head Business Development - EV Business at Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited (TPEVCSL), and Mr. Ashish Tandon, Global Head - Customer Excellence at Euler Motors.
What sets this partnership apart is its focus on strategic placement of charging stations based on fleet duty cycles, a crucial consideration for commercial EV operations. Tata Power Renewables has also committed to modifying chargers to accommodate higher capacity requirements as needed.
