Italian luxury motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has officially unveiled its highly anticipated 2025 Panigale V4 in the Indian market, setting new benchmarks in the premium superbike segment. The completely redesigned model represents the pinnacle of Ducati's engineering excellence, bringing race-derived technology directly to enthusiasts across the country.
The new Panigale V4 emerges from Ducati's dominant racing pedigree, particularly its success in MotoGP, where the company has been the force to beat since 2022. This latest iteration marks the seventh generation of Ducati sports bikes, continuing a prestigious lineage that traces back to the legendary 851 model.
What sets this Panigale apart is its comprehensive redesign, which results in a 4% reduction in aerodynamic resistance while maintaining the same downforce as previous models. The styling draws inspiration from the iconic Ducati 916 while incorporating ergonomic and aerodynamic solutions from the company's Desmosedici GP MotoGP machine.
Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India, emphasized the significance of the launch: "The Panigale name is legendary now, after having ruled the racetracks around the world, and we are thrilled to introduce this all-new iteration in India. The demand for high-performance motorcycles is stronger than ever, and we see a passionate and evolving community of riders eager to experience the best in superbike segment at the racetrack."
At the heart of the new Panigale V4 sits the Desmosedici Stradale engine, a 1,103cc powerplant directly derived from Ducati's MotoGP technology. This 90° V4 with desmodromic distribution and counter-rotating shaft delivers 216 hp at 13,500 rpm and 12.3 Kgm of torque at 11,250 rpm in its road-legal configuration. With the optional Ducati Performance racing exhaust by Akrapovič, power increases to an impressive 228 hp.
Despite meeting stricter Euro5+ emissions standards, the new model manages to shed weight while gaining power. The Panigale V4 S weighs just 187 kg (dry), two kilograms less than its predecessor. During testing at the Cremona circuit, riders of various skill levels—from amateur to professional—improved their lap times by a full second compared to the previous model.
The 2025 Panigale V4 introduces the world's first Brembo Hypure front brake calipers, which are both lighter and more effective at dissipating heat. Another global first is the Race eCBS system, developed in collaboration with Bosch, which can activate the rear brake according to strategies that mimic professional riding techniques.
Perhaps the most significant innovation is the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), a technology transferred from MotoGP that simulates the input of over 70 sensors to refine electronic control strategies. This system estimates ground forces acting on the motorcycle in various riding conditions, allowing for nearly predictive intervention of electronic aids.
The motorcycle also features a completely redesigned 6.9-inch dashboard with an 8:3 aspect ratio that mimics MotoGP displays. In Track mode, it shows real-time data including g-forces, power and torque percentages, and lean angles, while the Road mode offers a cleaner interface with prominent tachometer and essential riding information.
Ducati, founded in 1926 in Bologna, Italy, has established itself as one of the world's premier motorcycle manufacturers, known for powerful engines, distinctive design, and innovative technologies. The company's racing pedigree continues to inform its production models, with 2023 marking an unprecedented year where Ducati secured world championships in both MotoGP and WorldSBK for the second consecutive year.
Beyond its internal combustion offerings, Ducati is also leading the charge into electric motorcycle racing as the sole official supplier for the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup until 2026.
The new Ducati Panigale V4 and V4 S are now available at all Ducati dealerships across India. The Panigale V4 is priced at ₹29,99,000, while the higher-specification Panigale V4 S, which includes Öhlins electronic suspension, forged aluminum wheels, and a lithium battery, comes in at ₹36,50,000 (both prices ex-showroom). With this launch, Ducati reaffirms its commitment to bringing cutting-edge motorcycle technology to the Indian market, catering to a growing segment of enthusiasts who demand the very best in two-wheeled performance.
