Altigreen’s second dealership inaugurated in Kurla, Mumbai, is aimed at catering to cold chain logistics businesses. The e3W maker will support the dealership with its existing range of products and there’s also a proposal to integrate a refrigerated container on the neEV 3-wheeler on pilot basis.
During the opening of the retail experience centre that’s also Altigreen’s 26th retail facility, a ready for production completely built-up prototype of the refrigerated e3W was put on display.
Amitabh Saran, CEO, Altigreen said, “This is the first time such a product has been made successfully in the segment. It has been engineered for efficiency and there’s no compromise on account of the driving range on a single charge. The claimed range is between 151-158km per charge. The DC compressor for the unit gets a separate battery pack.”
Currently, the intra-city movement of goods in cold chain transportation is carried out primarily through 4-wheeler SCVs having upto 2.5 tonne GVW, and 3-wheelers. The desired temperature range for such vehicles is 0 to 4° Celsius, with a minimum volumetric capacity (internal) of 100 cu ft for 3-wheelers.
Altigreen Retail Experience Centre at Kurla was launched in the presence of Karan Tacker, an actor as the chief guest. For this territory, Altigreen has partnered with Fortpoint Automotive (FAPL) – an experienced automotive retail set-up.

Altigreen will continue to offer the best-suited EVs for Indian cargo and passenger mobility needs,” said Saran.

Saran added that the current monthly production is around 650 units and will be ramped up to 1,000 units in accordance with the new mandated technical requirements. Altigreen has a production capacity of 55,000 units per annum.
