Bosch Limited, a leading automotive technology and services provider, announced its unaudited consolidated financial results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2024, showing revenue growth but a decline in profitability.
The company reported revenue from operations of Rs. 44.66 billion in Q3 FY2024-25, marking a 6.2% increase from Rs. 42.05 billion in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The total income, including other income, stood at Rs. 46.55 billion for the quarter.
However, net profit after taxes declined to Rs. 4.59 billion for the quarter, compared to Rs. 6.18 billion in the same quarter last year, representing a 25.7% decrease. This decline can be primarily attributed to an exceptional item expense of Rs. 0.47 billion in the current quarter, compared to an exceptional item income of Rs. 0.59 billion in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, marking a significant swing in exceptional items that impacted the bottom line.
Operating expenses remained under scrutiny, with employee benefits expense at Rs. 3.95 billion.
For the nine months ended December 31, 2024, Bosch Limited recorded cumulative revenue from operations of Rs. 131.80 billion, representing a 5.5% growth compared to the same period last year. The company's earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs. 155.53.
