Bajaj Auto plans Rs 500 crore capex for EV business in FY24

Overall, the company has lined up a capex of Rs 750 crore for the current fiscal, a part of which will also be spent on debottlenecking exercises to ramp-up its EV component volumes in a bid to meet the rise in demand.

With an aim to scale its electric business, Pune-based Bajaj Auto is planning to invest Rs 500 crore capex in the electric vehicle segment, the majority of which will go towards building capabilities for its upcoming electric three-wheelers, a top company executive said.
