AXISCADES Technologies Ltd., a Bengaluru-based engineering and technology solutions firm, has appointed KP Mohanakrishnan as Deputy CEO & President - Aerospace and D Murali Krishnan as Chief Operating Officer & President – ESAI. The appointments were approved by the Board of Directors during a meeting held on April 9, 2025.
The leadership changes are part of the company’s broader strategy to adapt to developments in the global aerospace, defence-tech, and semiconductor sectors. These sectors are key focus areas for AXISCADES, which has recently integrated its subsidiaries—AXISCADES Aerospace & Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Mistral Solutions Pvt. Ltd.—to streamline operations and enhance its service capabilities.
Commenting on the appointments, Alfonso Martinez, CEO and MD of AXISCADES, said the addition of experienced leaders comes at an important juncture. “Mr. Mohanakrishnan brings experience in building strategic partnerships in the aerospace and defence sectors, while Mr. Murali Krishnan has led large-scale digital engineering operations. Their expertise will support our focus on expanding AI-led aerospace applications, semiconductor innovation, and chip-to-product development,” he said.
Mohanakrishnan, who takes on the role of Deputy CEO, has more than three decades of experience in aerospace, automotive, and general engineering sectors. He has previously worked with Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt. Ltd. and Tata Advanced Materials Ltd., engaging with organisations such as the Ministry of Defence, HAL, ISRO, and DRDO. He stated that he aims to support AXISCADES’ shift toward a technology-driven product model and explore new opportunities in service-based manufacturing and engineering solutions.
D Murali Krishnan joins AXISCADES as COO while continuing as CEO of Mistral Solutions, a subsidiary of the company focused on defence, electronics, and semiconductor applications. He previously led a $200 million digital engineering business at Cyient Limited and has also served as CEO of Engineering Services at Pennar Industries. He highlighted the potential for growth in AI-led innovation and product development, stating that AXISCADES is well-placed to lead in these areas through its existing capabilities and industry relationships.
The company stated that these appointments reflect its focus on leadership development and digital innovation as it looks to strengthen its position in aerospace, defence, and semiconductor technologies.
