Audi India has expanded its 'Charge My Audi' network to over 6,500 charging points nationwide as part of its ongoing electric mobility efforts. In this second phase of development, 75% of the locations now include DC fast-charging technology, improving access to charging infrastructure across the country.
The German luxury car manufacturer has strategically added 5,500+ new charging points at key locations including highways, urban centers, and commercial destinations.
To support this growth, Audi has partnered with 16 additional EV infrastructure providers, extending its network coverage to 28 states and union territories, 850+ cities, and 4,700+ locations nationwide. The expanded infrastructure integrates advanced features including real-time charger availability, route planning, and simplified start/stop functionality through the 'myAudi Connect' application.
"As electric vehicle adoption accelerates in India, establishing a robust charging network is crucial, and with over 6,500 charging points and a focus on DC fast chargers, we are enhancing convenience, reducing charging times, and expanding accessibility for our customers," said Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India.
The company has also extended complimentary charging for all e-tron customers until December 31, 2025, allowing owners to continue accessing free charging services through the company's extensive network via the 'myAudi Connect' app.
Audi's charging infrastructure is supported by multiple ChargePoint Operators including Shell India, Adani Total Energies E-Mobility Ltd., Charge Zone, Statiq, and Gentari India, among others. The technology platform, powered by Numocity Technology's eMSP platform, provides live updates and integration with public charging stations.
This initiative builds on the success of Phase I, which introduced route-mapping tools and destination charging hubs designed to facilitate hassle-free journey planning with real-time charger availability status.
India's electric vehicle market has been experiencing significant growth in the luxury segment, with charging infrastructure previously identified as a key barrier to adoption. Audi was among the first luxury brands to introduce a comprehensive EV lineup in India with its e-tron range.
The company recently celebrated delivering 100,000 vehicles in the Indian market since its entry, marking its commitment to the region. This charging network expansion addresses one of the primary concerns for potential EV buyers—range anxiety—and positions Audi to capitalize on India's growing demand for premium electric vehicles as the country pushes toward more sustainable transportation solutions.
