Ashok Leyland reports roughly 10% surge in domestic wholesales for CVs in September 2023

Ashok Leyland reports roughly 10% surge in domestic wholesales for CVs in September 2023

Ashok Leyland, the the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group and the country’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer announced on Tuesday that total domestic wholesales for its commercial vehicles in September 2023 stood at 18,193 units, an increase of around 10% in comparison to 16,499 units during the corresponding month of the previous year.

The M&HCV segment grew by roughly 14% to 11960 units during September 2023, as against 10475 units in September 2022. Furthermore, within the M&HCV segment, trucks grew by 5% to 10109 units during September 2023 when compared to 9628 units recorded in September 2022. 

Likewise, in the buses segment, the jump seems massive, at  119% to 1851 units in September 2023, compared to the low base of 847 units in September last year.

Secondly, in the LCV category, the company witnessed moderate growth of 3% to 6233 units in September 2023 as against 6024 units during the comparable period.
