Ashok Leyland reports 14% surge YoY in domestic wholesales in October 2023

The M&HCV segment grew by 15% to 9411 units during October 2023, as against 8189 units in October 2022.

Ashok Leyland reports 14% surge YoY in domestic wholesales in October 2023

Ashok Leyland, a flagship company of the Hinduja Group and a commercial vehicles manufacturer, announced on Wednesday that total domestic wholesales for its commercial vehicles in October 2023 stood at 15,759 units, an increase of 14% in comparison to 13,860 units during the corresponding month of the previous year.

The M&HCV segment grew by 15% to 9411 units during October 2023, as against 8189 units in October 2022. Furthermore, within the M&HCV segment, trucks grew by 11% to 8272 units during October 2023, when compared against 7432 units recorded in October 2022. 

Likewise, in the buses segment, the jump seems massive, at 50% to 1139 units in October 2023, compared to the low base of 757 units in October last year.

Secondly, in the LCV category, the company witnessed  growth of 12 % to 6348 units in October 2023 as against 5671 units during the comparable period.
