Previously, LG Electronics used multiple software tools and models for fatigue damage evaluation, which led to longer analysis times and complex model management. The new solution combines multiphysics-based analysis into a single integrated system.
Sam Mahalingam, Altair's chief technology officer, stated that this collaboration enhances product safety and durability prediction, potentially benefiting various manufacturing industries. LG Electronics contributed its experience in mass-producing vehicle infotainment components to improve the software's accuracy and reliability.
The integrated analysis process is designed to identify potential issues at the design stage and analyze stress and strain in various environments.
