The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), representing the Indian auto component industry, concluded the ninth edition of its iAutoConnect event, a reverse buyers-and-sellers meet held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. Supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, the event was inaugurated by Vimal Anand, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, and Ms. Shradha Suri Marwah, President of ACMA and CMD of Subros. Both leaders highlights the government’s focus on enhancing India’s role in the global auto component market.
The two-day event provided a platform for Indian component manufacturers to present their products to international aftermarket distributors and dealers. This year’s iAutoConnect featured 91 domestic exhibitors and drew over 170 buyers from more than 40 countries, including those from Africa, ASEAN, Eastern Europe, Latin America, SAARC, and West Asia.
The event allowed international buyers to assess the advanced manufacturing standards, technological capabilities, and competitiveness of the Indian auto component industry. Ms. Shradha Suri Marwah, President of ACMA, noted that iAutoConnect has become a key platform for the Indian automotive component industry, facilitating access to international markets. She expressed optimism that these interactions would foster partnerships to expand the reach of Indian-manufactured components globally, supporting the ‘Make in India for the world’ initiative.
The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) is the primary organisation representing the Indian auto component industry. Established in 1959, ACMA serves as a central platform for manufacturers, distributors, and exporters of automotive components, helping them align with industry standards, technological advancements, and regulatory frameworks. With more than 800 members, ACMA’s network covers a substantial share of the auto component industry in India, catering to both domestic and international markets.
