After a gap of three years, the AutoExpo 2023 Components is all set to welcome over 800 exhibitors from 15 countries in the biennial auto components show, industry body Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) said on January 5.
Based on the theme ‘Technovation – Future Technologies & Innovations’, the expo is scheduled to take place between 12 and 15 January 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
While the AutoExpo is traditionally a biennial event, it was last held in 2020, but the year 2022 was missed due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic-led circumstances.According to Sunjay Kapur, President, ACMA & Chairman, Sona Comstar, AutoExpo 2023- Components will create new opportunities for the components industry in the backdrop of strong economic recovery and rising vehicle sales in the country.
“This event will also provide a platform to showcase its prowess as it strives to stay relevant in a fast-transforming industry. With participation from over 800 companies, several of them from overseas, we have been completely sold out. With confirmation of several business and sourcing delegations, the event will provide an ideal opportunity for networking, striking international partnerships and gaining insights into the future of mobility,” Kapur added.
Delegates from 15 countries, including Canada, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Poland, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Thailand, the UK and the USA, will participate in the show. China has not participated. In addition, there will be six country pavilions — France, Germany, Japan, Poland, South Korea and the UK.
“With significant disruptive changes being witnessed in the automotive ecosystem the world over and in India, the AutoExpo 2023 Components show will be reflective of these dominant trends including electric mobility, ADAS, biofuel and flex-fuel based engine technologies, vehicular safety technologies, sustainable and ecologically sound manufacturing practices, digitisation, automotive start-ups, Innovative technologies and solutions and much more,” Vipin Sondhi said. Sondhi is the Chairman of CII National Committee on Future Mobility and Battery Storage and also Chairman CII National Committee on Technology, R&D and Innovation.
Spread across an area of over 60,000 sq mts, the show is expected to witness around 200 companies launching and displaying over 1,400 new products and technologies.
