After opening bookings for the Slavia Matte Edition earlier this month, Skoda has now revealed the prices of the special edition sedan. The Matte Edition is available with all existing powertrain options, with prices starting from Rs 15.52 lakh for the 1.0 TSI-MT powertrain, going up to Rs 19.12 lakh for the 1.5 TSI-AT powertrain, both prices ex-showroom, India.

Here’s a detailed look at the prices of the Slavia Matte Edition:
The Slavia Matte Edition is priced at a premium of Rs 40,000 over the regular Style trim that it’s based on. Skoda recently also slashed the base price of the Slavia as a special festive season offer.

Skoda Slavia Matte Edition exterior and interior
The special edition Slavia comes finished in a matte Carbon Steel exterior paint shade, while the wing mirrors and the door handles are finished in a gloss black shade. The chrome treatment for the grille, fog lamp garnish and window surround, however, have been retained for some contrast.

There, however, aren’t any major changes on the inside – it continues with a dual-tone dashboard and the equipment list is identical to that of the top-spec Style trim. Skoda recently updated the Slavia Style with powered front seats and footwell illumination which, too, are featured on the Slavia Matte Edition.

Skoda Slavia Matte Edition powertrain options
Under the hood, the Slavia Matte Edition continues with the 115hp, 150Nm 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic, or the 150hp, 250Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG gearboxes.

In the midsize sedan segment, only the Volkswagen Virtus has previously been offered in a matte edition variant. The Slavia also rivals the likes of Honda CityHyundai Verna and Maruti Ciaz.
