Škoda Auto India’s newly introduced sub-4-metre SUV, the Kylaq, has achieved 10,000 bookings within just 10 days of the commencement of reservations. This milestone underscores the rising interest in Škoda’s latest SUV in the competitive Indian market. To build on this momentum, Škoda Auto India is set to launch the ‘India Dream Tour,’ a 43-day nationwide initiative aimed at connecting with potential customers and showcasing the Kylaq across various regions of the country.
The tour, starting from the Škoda Chakan plant on December 13, 2024, will feature three Kylaq SUVs traveling on different routes to cover nearly 70 cities. The West-South route will include cities like Pune, Kolhapur, Panaji, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The West-North route will pass through Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, and Delhi. The third route will explore the eastern region, covering cities such as Nashik, Nagpur, and Kolkata. The vehicles will return to the Chakan plant by January 25, 2025.
During the tour, static displays in key cities will allow customers to experience the Kylaq’s design and features firsthand. The SUV’s official arrival in dealerships is scheduled for January 27, 2025. This initiative aims to provide potential buyers with a close look at the Kylaq and its new Modern Solid design language, building anticipation for its launch.
The Kylaq features a 1.0 TSI engine with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions. It will be available in four variants and seven color options. Safety is a key focus, with over 25 standard safety features across all variants, including six airbags and active and passive safety systems. The Kylaq has undergone extensive testing, covering over 800,000 kilometers.
Škoda Auto India has introduced a limited offer for the first 33,333 Kylaq customers, providing a complimentary 3-year Standard Maintenance Package. This offer brings maintenance costs down to Rs. 0.24 per kilometer for five years. The Classic variant of the Kylaq is already sold out, but customers can express interest and book it once the initial 33,333 units are reserved.
