Triumph promotes Bonneville sales via finance scheme

Triumph Motorcycles India, the local arm of the renowned British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles, has announced a new finance scheme for promoting the sales of its best-selling Bonneville models. The company is doing this to celebrate its achievement of moving past the milestone of 1,600 customers in 17 months of its active operations. Triumph Motorcycles had officially launched its motorcycles in India in November 2013.

Within the new finance scheme, which is designed under the company’s partnership with HDFC Bank, the premium motorcycle buyers can now own a Triumph Bonneville model by making a down payment of Rs 235,000 and an EMI of Rs 9,990 per month for a period of five years. While the mentioned EMI amount is valid for Delhi, it may differ for other cities.

“We value the emotions of our Indian customers and want them to be proud owners of Triumph Motorcycles, so to celebrate our 1600+ customers in India, we are introducing this opportunity to own and feel for the ride experience with our iconic Bonneville” , said Vimal Sumbly, managing director, Triumph Motorcycles India.

The Bonneville, also the most affordable model in Triumph India’s portfolio, is priced at Rs. 599,000, ex-showroom, New Delhi. The company currently has a massive portfolio of 13 models across five different categories of motorcycles.

According to the SIAM data, the company sold 1,326 motorcycles during FY2014-15. Of this, Triumph’s Classics portfolio, which includes the Bonneville, Bonneville T100 and the Thruxton models, sold the majority, contributing by 534 units during the last fiscal. The three models are powered by the same air-cooled, parallel-twin, 865cc engine.
